YARAT Contemporary Art Space is announcing its ARTIM Project to support young and emerging artists. If you would like to know more about this year’s ARTIM theme, selection criteria and deadlines, you’re welcome to attend presentations by artist and curator Sabina Shikhlinskaya on 29th April and May 5th 2014.
ARTIM (meaning 'progress' in Azerbaijani) is YARAT Contemporary Art Space's youth artist projects program, which aims to encourage the next generation of Azerbaijani creative talent to seek a career in the arts, and gives young practitioners the opportunity to exhibit their works in a professional context.
Sabina Shikhlinskaya is an artist and independent curator. She was a pioneer of contemporary conceptual art formation in Azerbaijan and holds a title of the honored artist of Azerbaijan. Sabina Shikhlinskaya is a member of the International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art (CIMAM) and coordinates cultural programs of Goethe-Institut to be implemented in Azerbaijan.
Presentations will take place on:
29th April 2014:
at 11:00 in the Conference room of the Academy of Fine Arts (Heydar Aliyev avenue, 58)
at 19:00 at ÜNS Theatre (Neftchilar avenue, 69).
5th May 2014:
at 12:30 Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (Ayna Sultanova, 11)
