YARAT Contemporary Art Space presents ARTIM Lab project – a yearlong studio practice and workshops for people of 18-30 years old. A proven artistic practice or enrolment in an art school or academy is a requirement.


GOAL
• The main goal is to give an opportunity to engage in contemporary forms of art through experimental practices
• To try out different media and artistic strategies
• The capacity of verbalizing the idea of the work
• Develop the ability to work conceptually with existing resources


YARAT PROVIDES
• Shared studio at ARTIM Lab Studio throughout duration of the training program
• Consistent dialogue with YARAT’s curatorial and educational team
• Extracurricular activities (excursions etc.)
• 3 studio presentations and one final show at ARTIM Project Space
• A limited budget for the final show will be foreseen 


PROGRAMM
• Commitment investing in theory and knowledge through YARAT Academy and engage into daily studio practice, generate new ideas and produce works
• 10 hours weekly studio practice 
• Thursday, Friday, and Saturday conversations, workshops, lectures with artists, curators, international residents and mentors on the specific module topic
• Take part in artist talks of YARAT Academy lecture blocks (March-May, September-November each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 pm, YARAT Centre)
• Each participant will have to produce 3 body of works for 3 studio presentations accordingly. If the production of the work requires any costs, it should be covered by the participant 

• Requirements to be accepted in the final show are: participation in 8 modules,   10 hours a week studio practice, pro active participation in 90% education programs and a final essay of 4000 words

• Final show will reward the winner by a32n independent jury, the winner will receive a production budget for a new body of work

10) January: Conceptual Art

11) February: Preparations to final show

12) March: Final presentation
