OPEN CALL: ARTIM PUBLIC ART OBJECT

View to the future place of the public art object

ARTIM Project Space announces Open Call for public art object to be installed within Old City.

Last date for proposals: 8 March 2019

ARTIM Project Space is pleased to announce Open Call in the frames of its Support Program for Local Artists. Selected open-air art object will be located in Gulle Street of Old City (Icherisheher). Main purpose of art object is to particularly emphasize main essence of ARTIM Project Space.

Professional and amateur artists, sculptors, architects, designers and others creative professionals are welcome to participate in this contest and submit their applications. There is no age limit for participants in the contest. Each participant can submit any number of applications.

Submitted art object must meet the following criteria and should:

• Be based on main concept of ARTIM Project;
• Attract attention of tourists;
• Be creative and unusual;
• Be able to become new tourist destination in Old City;
• Be resistant to environmental impacts.

Please include the following information while submitting your proposals to e-mail artim@yarat.az:

• Name and surname of author;
• Contact number;
• Written description of the art object (its concept and technical specifications);
• Relevant sketches of the art object.

About ARTIM 

ARTIM is directed at young Azerbaijani artists with an intention to support and encourage emergent talent to grow. The program has a designated exhibition space in Icheri Sheher that was conceived as a platform for experimenting and professionally showcasing art. Artworks resulting from the program are exhibited at the ARTIM Project Space, Baku.
