FILM CLUB: MIRBALA SALIMLI’S FILM RED GARDEN

YARAT Contemporary Art Space is delighted to invite you to the screening of 'Red Garden', directed by Mirbala Salimli (Azerbaijan). The screening will be organized as a event of YARAT Film Club.

The film tells the story of a provincial teacher from blue blood, ABBAS. А desperate desire of having his own son makes him so indifferent to orphan in his custody and even to deadlock situation of his beloved spouse VAFA. But everything changes, when he himself causes Vafa’s death. Now in the otherworld Abbas is craving to have back all the things that he couldn’t protect in this world…

A film was co-produced by AzerbaijanFilm Company and White Media, (Russia).

“Red Garden” had it’s world premiere on Eurasia International Film Festival and will have it’s European premiere this November at Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival and also Cairo International Film Festival

Cast: Magsud Mammadov, Gulzar Gurbanova, and Taleh Badiyev

Film will be shown in Azerbaijani.
