'What Is Success?' Lecture by Zsolt Petranyi

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites you to a lecture and presentation by Zsolt Petranyi, established curator and art critic, which will take place at 19:00 on 3rd March 2013 at the International Mugham Centre. The subject of the lecture is 'What is success? Hungarian success projects abroad and contemporary art seen from the inside and from the outside'.

Zsolt Petranyi is Head of the Section of Contemporary Arts at the Hungarian National Gallery. The lecturer will speak about the ACAX organisation, which helps international curators and artists, and analyses how the fall of the iron curtain created an interest in the region. The lecture will also address the feeling of frustration, the too slow development of the local market, the experience of participating in international art fairs and the shadow of the big avant-garde generation of the 1960s.
