DYNAMIC INSTALLATION BUTA DIRECTED BY ALEXANDER DZIUBA

25 Jan 16

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites you to the presentation of a unique project will take place very soon at YARAT Contemporary Art Centre!

32 participants will present dynamic installation "Buta", directed by Alexander Dziuba – actor, director, screenwriter, musician, founder and practicing master of the author's school of professional acting training.

This project offers an unexpected look at one of the most ancient and mysterious symbols of our culture. "Buta" – is the symbol of life and fire, embodied in architecture, fashion and art throughout the centuries.

Over the past several centuries this symbol has fallen into oblivion or become the topic of interest now and then. Each era and country endowed it with a new meaning. But its mystical beauty inspired ancient Zoroastrians, and the English aristocrats of the XIX century, informals in the 60s of XX century, and representatives of the top fashion houses of the 21st century equally. The uniqueness of "Buta" is in its ability to cross borders and absorb the meanings. In its simplicity, a "droplet" was able to reflect the whole world in itself.

“BUTA” Installation – is the model of our society, the model the system where a human exists. He is present there in horizontal, whereas in the vertical he lives there. He lives harmoniously and thoughtfully, according to the laws visible only from above and known to God alone. Horizontal frays our perception of the world at the edges (world as a society in L.N.Tolstoy’s “War and peace”). We look from the habitual standpoint and often see nothing but chaos. If once we fly above the clouds or go up on the roof of high building, we suddenly perceive the beauty and harmony of nature. And results of human actions seem not so meaningless. This is exactly the effect that we are striving to achieve in our dynamic installation. Cameras shooting what is happening from above will become our eyes to see goings-on. Organized space in well-defined coordinate systems – that is “BUTA”. (Alexander Dziuba, author of the project)

The artistic heritage of Alexander Dziuba contains dozens of roles in theater and film, the director's works and numerous sounding and dubbing works of films and video games, as well as authorship of many dramatizations and screenplays.

Many years of practice and thirst for self-understanding led to the creation of a unique method that allowed to systematize the experience and knowledge. Today Alexander Dziuba passes them to actors who wish to improve and grow constantly.

Since 2010, the trainings have been held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov, Kiev, Tallinn, Yekaterinburg and other cities. The school of professional actor training actively cooperates with Russian and foreign schools of theater arts.

In November 2015, the first 3-days training course took place in Baku with support of YARAT Contemporary Art Space. It was the one that laid the foundation for the creation of "Buta" dynamic installation.
