FILM CLUB: NIHAD ISA’S FILM RAST

YARAT Contemporary Art Centre is delighted to invite you to the screening of 'Rast', directed by Nihad Isa. The screening will be organized as a part of YARAT Film Club which aims to become an informal meeting point for the viewing and discussion of contemporary art videos and films.

Director: Nihad İsa

A poet traveling from Italy to Caucasus, Azerbijan shares the details of his journey. We will follow the author to his motherland and will discover it’s beauty. The film tells about the first steps made by unknown poets who leave in distant mountain villages, much like their great predecessors e.g. Nasimi, Fizuli. The lives of tired poets who grew up in remote regions and who know the seamy side of life is unraveled in front of our eyes.

Nihad Isa lives and works in Milan, Italy.

Film will be shown with English subtitles.
