YARAT WEEKLY TALKS: TEYMUR GOYCHAYEV
TALK TO US
YARAT Contemporary Art Space established the discussion platform in order to discuss its usual collection and current exhibitions. We will organize weekly meetings with artists, writers, musicians, researchers, businessmen and public figures during these series of events.
We ask famous figures to share their ideas about the modern art and about selected pieces from our collection and to hold dialogues with the event participants as well.
On February 10th, 2016 you are kindly invited to join a conversation that will be led by Teymur Goychayev, an artistic leader of Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra and People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Republic.
Teymur Anvar Goychayev (b. 1958) – graduated from the department of string instruments (violin class) of the Baku Music Academy with honour in 1981. He was the laureate of Transcaucasia music contest in 1985.
He started his professional career as an orchestra performer at Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after U. Hajibayov. His pedagogical path started at Bulbul Specialized Secondary Music School since 1986, and continued at Baku Music Academy.
Teymur Goychayev has been an artistic leader of Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after G. Garayev since 1998, and has been director of Bulbul Specialized Secondary Music School since 2010.
He has been awarded with the title of Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2000, and the title of People’s Artist in 2005.
