YARAT Contemporary Art Space invited to attend a talk by Leyla Novruzova, an HR Vice President of Human Resources for BP Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey, on June 24, 2016
Leyla Novruzova was born in Baku in 1971. She joined Amoco, American Oil Company, which later merged with BP in 1993 after graduating from Azerbaijan University of Languages and 1 year of work experience in Azerbaijan Parliament. Since then she held positions of increasing responsibility within the HR function, not only in Azerbaijan but also on successful assignments in Pakistan, Russia and the US.
In 2009, on the 15th anniversary of the ACG Production Sharing Agreement, she was one of several Azerbaijani employees who was awarded “Tereggi” (Progress) medal for contributions to Azerbaijan’s oil industry by the President of Azerbaijan.
Since June 2013 she is HR Vice President of Human Resources for BP Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey (AGT) Region.
In January 2016 she was elected to chair HR Committee of American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham).
