YARAT and ASAN Service collaborate on Azerbaijan and World art lecture series

YARAT Contemporary Art Space, with the close collaboration of ASAN Service Centres, has organised lectures dedicated to Azerbaijani and world art. The main goal of the project is to hold lectures delivered by prominent professionals about the general issues of the art.
Lectures are delivered at The International Mugham Centre on Azerbaijani and global culture and art, intended for the employees and volunteers of ASAN Service and others. Prominent professionals in their field have prepared a program of lectures about culture and art to interest the audience.
The lecture series is directed to enhance the participants’ knowledge about national and world art and to inform them. From the start date until now, six lectures have already been held and in total more than eight hundred spectators participated.

Asmar Abdullayeva, PhD in Art Study.
She has got fourteen years of academic experience in the Academy of Art of the Azerbaijan Republic. At the same time, she is a member of the State Department of the Historical and Architectural Reserve of Icherisheher and a member of the Shirvanshah Palace Expert Committee. She has taken part in many local and foreign conferences as an expert lecturer. She is the author and curator of Potent Ion decorative art and handicraft festival.
Jamila Hasanzada, professor.
She has been a lecturer in Baku, Paris, Moscow, Tebriz, St. Petersburg, Tashkent, Dushanbe, Tbilisi, and Palanga international conferences and symposiums. She has researched different foundations, including the Louvre foundation, the National Library of France, Gime Museum, Paris Decorative Arts Museum, the National Library of Greece in Athens, Benaki Museum, as well as others. She has made numerous scientific researches in Istanbul’s Topkapi Palace Museum and Turkish and Islamic Art Museum, St. Petersburg State Public Library in The Hermitage, and in the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Oriental Studies. She is the author of 150 scientific papers, as well as eight monographic research works, two albums and two course books.
Ziyadkhan Aliyev, professor.
He is an honorary Art Worker of the Azerbaijan Republic (2006), doctor of the Art Study (2014), and associate professor of the Azerbaijan State university of Culture and Art Academy. He is also head of the branch of Azerbaijan Critics and Art Studies. He is the author of a number of books and articles published in Azerbaijan, as well as abroad such as ‘The Majnun of Art’, ‘Unknown Sattar’, ‘An Innocent Person of a Guilty World or Sattar Bahlulzade’s Romanticism’, ‘Eldar Mikayilzade’, ‘Azerbaijan Equilibrium’, ‘Sources’, ‘Gorush Nureddinoglu’, ‘Jamil Mufidzade’, ‘Altay Hajiyev’, ‘A Life Penetrated into Lines’, ‘Sabir in Applied Art’, ‘The Encyclopedia of Azerbaijani Art’ (III volumes), ‘Fakhraddin Seyfeddinoglu’ and others.
Rayiha Amanzada, professor.
Doctor of Architecture and Member of the Union of Architects of the Azerbaijan Republic. She is the author of more than 120 articles and three books, as well as co-author of one other.
